Example Improvements of Dynamic Spectrum Management ( 089 )

چکیده
This information-only contribution defines some potential dynamic spectrum-management methods and provides examples of potential improvements in their use. This contribution is not meant to provide sample text or methods for dynamic spectrum management, but rather to motivate study. This contribution investigates two types of spectrum management: static and dynamic. Dynamic spectrum management allows spectrum to be allocated as needed, rather than a static spectrum management that necessarily bases itself on worst-case analysis, and thus dynamic spectrum always performs better. This contribution shows realistic situations in which the level of improvement for dynamic spectrum management is large. Both linelevel and packet unbundling are considered with dynamic spectrum management. __________________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE This contribution has been prepared to assist Standards Committee T1 Telecommunications. Application of Ecological Theory to Management of Arid Drylands: An Example from China
Rangeland ecosystems shift across dynamic thresholds between differentecological states in response to natural or human-induced factors. These differentecological states are the result of interactions among climate, soils, grazing history, and management practices. The notion of a single ‘‘pristine’’ final state is onlyconceptual in nature, and because of this, dynamic thresholds and the effects...
متن کاملAchieving Simultaneous Spectrum Utilization and Revenue Improvements in Practical Wireless Spectrum Auctions
Spectrum is a valuable, scarce and finite natural resource that is needed for many different applications, so efficient use of the scarce radio spectrum is important for accommodating the rapid growth of wireless communications. Spectrum auctions are one of the best-known market-based solutions to improve the efficiency of spectrum use. However, Spectrum auctions are fundamentally differen...
متن کاملThe Effects of Price Elasticity Dynamics on a Firm’s Profit
This paper studies the dynamic behavior of price elasticity and its effects on the overall profit. Although price elasticity has a significant effect on sales, its dynamics have not been examined so far in pricing models. In this paper, a simple pricing model is suggested in which, price elasticity is considered dynamic. The suggested pricing model is concerned with a monopolist that its object...

Dynamic Balanced Scorecard (DBSC) is an effective business performance management control tool for dealing with business uncertainty, performance monitoring, evaluation and forecasting. DBSC has been proposed and utilized extensively over the years as an effective tool to manage and control the dynamics of business processes (BP) and their performance. However, there is little evidence of its a...
متن کاملA Survey on Exploiting Grids for Ray Tracing
Grid is one of the first data structure introduced at the very beginning of computer graphics. Grids are used in several applications of computer graphics, especially in rendering algorithms. Lately, in ray tracing dynamic scenes, grid has received attention for its appealing linear time building time. In this paper, we aim to survey several aspects behind the use of grids in ray tracing. In pa...
